Event Summary

Event Summary                    Keys to Surviving the Assessment Center Used by many MNCs in their final rounds, the assessment center can be one of the most difficult hurdles to clear, in order to reach your dream job. In this workshop, we will give you an overview of some of the most common exercises that are used (i.e. in-tray, role plays, case studies, group discussions) and important tips to not only perform well, but on how to properly prepare. Most importantly, you will also be placed in a simulated assessment centre environment, where you will have the opportunity to experience multiple activities such as: individual role plays, and group case discussions. The emphasis in these simulations will not be on the analytics or “solving” the case, but in all the “soft skills” such as interpersonal team dynamics, multi-tasking, resolving conflict, influence & persuasion. Agenda: o What is an Assessment Centre? o Series of activities that test a range of competencies o See you in action, what you can do, not what you say you can do Type of Activities Used o Psychometric Tests o In-Tray / E-Tray Exercise o Role-Plays o Case Study Sample Assessment Centre Schedules o Half-Day vs. Full-Day Assessment Centre Schedule Preparation Tips o Use Multiple Sources o Don’t Wait Until the Last Minute o Case Study Framework Assessment Centre Simulation o Exercise #1: Role Plays o Exercise #2: Group Case Discussion Attire: Business Casual
